It is a very personal decision what you would like to do with your pet after euthanasia. I am happy to discuss the after care options available here on the Sunshine coast and I will support whatever option feels right for you and your family.
We are blessed to have a choice of very professional private local cremation companies on the Sunshine Coast offering a variety of options for cremation.
You are free to choose which company you prefer or I can help you organise a cremation service so they are able to collect your pet at the end of our visit. These companies care for your pet with upmost respect, perform an individual, private cremation and return your pets ashes to you in your choice of urn, timber box or bamboo satchet. They can also provide a variety of keepsakes and moments keepsakes.
Please note that these are seperate individual businesses and you will need to directly pay them for the cost of their service and the package you select. For pricings, please see their individual websites.

The cremation companies above are all Australian and local private family businesses.
As a Veterinary Surgeon, I have had first hand experience dealing with multiple cremation companies over the last 26 years and in my humble opinion these local Sunshine coast family businesses not only provide a personal professional service but a superior service.
Franchise/corporate Euthanasia services unfortunately require you to use an impersonal multinational cremation service rather than a local Sunshine Coast business.
Burying a beloved pet at home is an option if you own your property. You may choose a site that has special meaning and you can memorialize and protect the site by planting a special tree or plant.
I can provide a biodegradable covering for your pet with prior arrangement for no charge.
Sunshine Coast Council allows burial of pets that have passed on private property. Their requirements are as follows:
- Must be buried so the pet is under a minimum of 30cm of compacted soil
- Must not cause a nuisance to others ie odour, attract vermin, flies
- Must be at least 100m from any waterways
- Must not be buried in non-biodegradable coverings/plastic bags
Noosa Council also allows burial of your own pet on your own private property.
For other regional councils you will need to find out your local obligations as not all councils will allow home burial of pets and may have other rules. We can arrange a basic biodegradable covering for your pet with prior arrangement and there is no additional charge for this.
A local provider offers a discrete unmarked group burial service. If you wish to elect this service I can arrange and transport your pet on your behalf.
An additional $100 fee will be charged to cover transport and fees.
